Management Team

Valley Operational Wear is the continuation of an uninterrupted manufacturing tradition of excellence started in 1959. We were founded with a mandate to develop a World Class Armor Company to address the evolving needs of America’s Military Operator, Law Enforcement Officer and First Responder. Our senior management team is comprised of former military and law enforcement veterans with a combined experience of over 120 years. “We have worn it”, and utilize that experience to develop and manufacture world-class personal protective equipment.

The Op Wear management team is led by Frank Erwin, a Senior Vice President and Partner. Frank is a former U.S. Marine and fourth generation police officer. Since leaving Law Enforcement he has gone on to establish a third career with 20+ years of body armor design, manufacturing and sales management experience. Along the way he has been a part of industry-leading management teams responsible for many “Armor Firsts”; The First sub-one lb/sq. ft. NIJ Certified IIIA Vest, the U.S. Special Operations “SPEAR” Vest, the U. S. Marine/Army Outer Tactical Vest, the front-loading concealed vest carrier (now the industry standard for comfort) and at Op Wear the introduction of the Enhanced Armor Technology Matrix (EAT, another First).
